 Shuttleworth 2009 was one of the highlights for The Oasis Church, Chelmsford. We focused on building community over the weekend. One way to facilitate this was through hiring a central marquee for our site. That meant we were able to eat main meals together, pray together before the morning meeting, chill out with coffee/nibbles after hours, and even have a crèche area for the babies/toddlers during the morning.

On the Sunday evening we made catering very easy by buying in lots of fish and chips. In the business of everyday life you don’t get chance to slow down and enjoy deepening friendship in the way that you can at Shuttleworth. Camping isn’t for everyone, but my family did buy a tent for the occasion, and I’ve heard others already do the same for 2010. See you there!
